Best skincare for men

We are often asked: what is the best skincare for men? And what is the actual difference between skincare for men and women?

The short answer: there is little to no difference. Most skincare products can be used by both men and women. It is purely marketing. However, there are nuances, which we will tell you more about below.

What actually differs

• Thicker skin: Due to testosterone, men's skin is on average about 20-25% thicker. Men's skin generally also has more collagen. As a result, men's skin wrinkles slightly later on average, but the loss happens more rapidly afterward. Did you know that our Boosting Serum is therefore often used by men as well?
• Higher sebum production: Men generally have larger sebaceous glands and larger pores, and therefore more often have oilier skin. The 4-in-1 Wash cleanses thoroughly but gently, while simultaneously regulating sebum production.
• Shaving: Because many men shave daily, the skin can easily become irritated. Aftershave and shaving gels focus on this, but often cause more irritation due to harsh fragrances or drying alcohol. A good alternative is our 4-in-1 Lotion. It hydrates and calms the skin using glycerin, aloe vera, and apricot kernel oil.
  
  

What is primarily marketing

• The ingredients are often almost identical to those in 'women's products.' A day cream or SPF does the same thing for everyone.
• The differences usually lie in fragrance (products for men are often more heavily perfumed), packaging (darker, rugged), and a slightly lighter texture.
• The 'pink tax' (higher prices for feminine products) also works the other way around: men's lines are sometimes more expensive without the formula being better.
