De beste tips tegen huidveroudering

The best tips against skin aging

There are many external factors that cause skin aging, such as sun and air pollution. However, unfortunately we still use creams that promise to make our skin younger (which is not possible anyway), but that our skin ages faster. Read here which ingredients you should not put on your skin.

(Synthetic) perfumes and preservatives

Synthetic and (some) natural perfumes and preservatives can cause allergic reactions and dry out the skin. These can even cause eczema and other skin problems. Major causes of rapidly aging skin. In addition, natural and synthetic preservatives kill the good bacteria and living skin cells in addition to the bad bacteria. Your skin can no longer protect itself properly and your skin ages quickly.

Mineral oils

Mineral oils seal your skin. Your skin feels smooth and also hydrated because these oils ensure that moisture in your skin cannot escape. So your skin can't 'breathe'. Mineral oils affect your skin barrier and make your skin addicted to the effect. Think of those oh-so-addictive lip balms. Also, the good active ingredients in your products cannot be absorbed into the skin when it contains a mineral oil. So you can't give your skin the nutrition it needs. Pay special attention to these ingredients: Mineral Oil, Petrolatum (Vaseline), Paraffinum-Liquidum, Microcrystalline Wax, Ozokerit, Ceresin, Paraffinum-Subliquidum, Cera Microcristallina

Chemical sunscreens

Chemical sunscreens. They are a cause of many allergies and are increasingly found in regular day creams. For example, take a look at these ingredients: 4-Methylbenzylidencampher, 4 MBC, 3-Benzylidencampher, OMC, Benzophenone-3, Homomenthylsalicylat, Octyl Methoxycinnamate, Oxybenzone, Homosalate, Homomenthylsalicylat and Octyl-Dimethyl-Para-Amino-Benzoic-Acid. Do you come across these in your skin care product? Leave it alone, we would say.

Opt for a natural, mineral sunscreen such as zinc oxide or titanium dioxide. Vitamin E and raspberry leaf oil also naturally contain a (low) SPF. Looking for a natural sunscreen or day cream with a natural SPF filter? Click here.

So be careful what you put on your skin. Don't believe all the beautiful stories on the front, but instead immerse yourself in the back. The right ingredients will show you what they are worth in the long run.
