What is Hydranov?
Hydranov is a moisturizing agent that comes from an algae extract, namely the red seaweed 'Furcellaria lumbricalis'. It targets the hyaluronic acid that occurs naturally in the epidermis. Hyaluronic acid is a key player in the fight against skin aging. It is a water-binding substance and is one of the essential building blocks in the skin. When we get older, our estrogen level decreases and with it the hyaluronic acid present. As a result, the skin is less able to retain moisture and dries out. The skin is less 'full', wrinkles appear and the skin becomes dull. Hydranov is an answer to this problem.
What does Hydranov do for your skin?
Hydranov has hygroscopic ability to drain water from the top of the skin, it also stimulates the production of hyaluronic acid in the skin. Thus, the deep layers of the epidermis are better hydrated. Hydranov can absorb almost as much water as its weight and helps to maintain a moisturizing film on the skin's surface. In addition, it helps to maintain the watertightness of the epidermis, preserving the hydration of the deep layers. Hydranov is three times more efficient at moisturizing the skin than hyaluronic acid. The effect is visible almost immediately, but the real skin improvement shows itself after about two weeks. The lines are reduced, the skin is fuller and more radiant.
